If you live in or around Tunbridge Wells and are keen on any arts or crafts, you can find pleasure in sharing your interest with like-minded people. We offer illustrated lectures by nationally renowned experts covering a wide range of decorative and fine arts, including paintings, sculpture, textiles, jewellery, gold and silverware, glassware, ceramics, architecture, gardens and music.

Our programme ranges over a wide variety of topics. Recent outstanding lectures have covered  the Frick Collection in New York, the Sacred Art of Cambodia, the Paintings of the Newlyn School, the Art of the Home Front during the Second World War, Thomas Heatherwick, the Leonardo of our Times, Sicily: The Kingdom of the Sun and Antony Gormley-A Body of Work.

Pantiles is a member of The Arts Society. We are an evening society and meet in the Jubilee Theatre of Holmewood House School, Langton Green on the fourth Thursday of each month except July, August and December.

We also arrange visits to places of artistic and/or historic interest and to Glyndebourne and London theatres.

Our annual subscription covers the monthly lectures, quarterly editions of the Arts Society Review and the opportunity to join in the visits. Another important benefit is the chance to make new friends and share your interests with them: we are a very friendly society. The Arts Society is for people of all ages and new members are always welcome.
