We are delighted to announce the opening of an exhibition of work, by students from Broomhill Bank School, Rusthall, which we are sponsoring.
Last year, as part of our youth outreach. The Arts Society, Pantiles, worked with students from the school. We sponsored two local artists, Katie Whitbread and Cas Holmes, to guide students as they experienced new techniques and applied them to produce exciting themed collographs and multi-layered textile and mixed media pieces.
Now, this collaboration has come to fruition and we are sponsoring an exhibition of their work at Trinity Arts Centre. This is the first time that students’ work has been exhibited in a public space – an exciting prospect for them.
The exhibition will run from Tuesday 16th January until Saturday 20th January inclusive. Opening times are those of the Trinity Café bar, ie 10am to about 5 on weekdays when there is no show, and from 10 until 10 on the Saturday when there is a film showing in the afternoon and a Comedy Café in the evening. There is no charge for entry to the exhibition.
Please put the dates in your diaries, bring your friends and come along to Trinity to support Broomhill students and our first initiative in encouraging Young Arts projects in the area.
